The Human Immune Monitoring Facility is seeking a technician to perform flow cytometry analysis of human blood samples from patients on immunotherapy trials at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
The ideal candidate will have experience using flow cytometry technology and preferably have worked with FlowJo software for data analysis.
A flexible work schedule is essential with standard hours of 12PM to 8PM.
The technician will work independently while processing human blood samples, staining them with antibodies, analyzing samples on a BD Aria II flow cytometer, processing data by computer, providing routine laboratory support, and keeping careful notes.
High precision, technical accuracy, organization, and thorough record keeping are expected, in addition to a dedicated work ethic and a strong drive to learn and make new discoveries to advance the success of cancer immunotherapy.

The Scientific Technician II is an advanced technical post that contributes to the scientific research in a laboratory by performing experiments, recording results and analyzing the resultant data. The Technician II may also provide support to the lab by coordinating tasks, providing organizational support, training new personnel, ordering reagents and maintaining general laboratory records. Education Bachelors Degree : Physical or Biological Sciences (Required) Masters Degree : Physical or Biological Sciences (Preferred) Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience 2 Years experience working as a Scientific Technician I at FCCC or equivalent experience (Required) General experience and familiarity with common lab tools and equipment (Preferred) _
