This is an exciting role that will contribute to technology-enabled mental health service reform for better outcomes for people with lived mental health experience, their families and supportive others, health professional and service providers in Australia through applied research and development.
The Synergy Research and Development Group (R&D Group) at the Brain and Mind Centre is responsible for scoping, designing, implementing and delivering Project Synergy research trials which aim to develop (and redevelop) the Synergy Online System across different population groups and service settings – including Veterans and their families, young people, older adults and young children. Project Synergy (2017-20), is administered by InnoWell which is a propriety limited Australian company focused on delivering technology-enabled mental health and wellbeing solutions. The R&D Group is led by Chief Scientific Advisor and supported by Director, Research Design and Analytics and Director, Clinical and Service Implementation. Over a three-year period, Project Synergy aims to further develop digital mental health in Australia, through research and implementation science trials, working in partnership with key Australian mental health service organisations.

- a PhD in psychology, clinical psychology, or related discipline
- clinical expertise and experience working with children and families (desirable)
- proven extensive experience in health and medical research design, ethics and clinical trial governance (including understanding of Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy and other relevant guidelines) and trial implementation and management. Research experience in the area of early childhood highly desirable.
- experience with e-Health technologies and platforms that support health care (desirable)
- experience in data management and statistical analysis
- proven teamwork and relationship building skills including stakeholder management and engagement skills
- demonstrated leadership and management experience
- capacity to work in a multidisciplinary research team
- excellent written and oral communication skills
