Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Mass Spectrometry to work under the supervision of Professor Dame Carol Robinson on a research project funded by the European Research Council for a period of 2 years.
The project focuses on developing novel mass spectrometry approaches to probe lipid/small molecule binding to membrane proteins.
You should have a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, physics or a relevant subject area, or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up your appointment. You should have expertise in characterisation of proteins using relevant biophysical methods as well as experience in developing and applying novel mass spectrometry approaches.
Duties will include managing own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, co-ordinating multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines and collaborating in the preparation of scientific reports and journal articles and occasionally presenting papers and posters.
The post will be based in the Chemistry Research Laboratory, Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA.
