We are seeking applicants for a postdoctoral position in the area of experimental and theoretical quantum optics and quantum photonics, including quantum plasmonics and multiphoton quantum-state engineering. The candidate will work in the LSU Quantum Sciences and Technologies group, within the Quantum Photonics Laboratory, the Hearne Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Department of Physics and Astronomy. For multiphoton quantum-state engineering, the particular purpose is to develop experimental techniques to prepare nonclassical multiphoton states for applications in quantum metrology and imaging. The appointment is for one year, renewable up to three years pending performance and funding.
This position will be expected to perform coupled fluid-structure interaction CFD simulations of relevance to OFFSHORE Oil & Gas Industry applications such as floating platforms, risers, and subsea systems along with CFD-DEM simulations using HPC capabilities to develop data-driven models.
The nuclear theory group at Louisiana State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher or Senior Postdoctoral Researcher to work with members of the nuclear theory group and perform scientific research in the forefront area of ab initio nuclear structure and reactions for light to medium-mass nuclei.
Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Program (CAMPEP) accredited Medical Physics Program within Department of Physics at Louisiana State University is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher who is expected to work on multiple radiation therapy research projects related to the improvement of outcome of radiation therapy, including treatment planning and delivery, in-vivo patient dose measurements, image registration and analysis, organ motion management, mathematical modeling, Monte Carlo simulation etc. The candidate will obtain a Post-Graduate certificate that can prepare him/her to enter a CAMPEP-accredited residency program in medical physics after this postdoctoral research appointment.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will study the molecular and cellular regulation of the mucosal inflammatory responses to infections and allergens.
Conduct studies to analyze the role of antigen and nutritional signaling pathways in regulating the immune responses in the mucosal systems, including in the lungs, gut, skin and other related organs.
Data analysis, academic presentations, manuscript preparation, and fellowship application.
Laboratory management and other laboratory duties as assigned.
