At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas.
The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical Neuroscience, Health and Rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology and Psychiatry and Neurochemistry.
The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, invites applications for a researcher position at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry. The Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry conducts extensive research on neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease and Huntington’s disease.
The work is focused on developing stem cell-based nerve cell model for Alzheimer’s disease and Huntington’s disease.
Doctoral degree in relevant subject is a requirement, as well as extensive practical and theoretical knowledge regarding the development and work of stem cell-based nerve cell models for Alzheimer’s disease and Huntington’s disease. Good ability to work independently is required. Great emphasis will be attached to personal fitness.
The employment is a temporary position for 6 months, 100% of full-time, and is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date: as soon as possible or as agreed.
