The University of Sydney is Australia’s first University with an outstanding global reputation for academic and research excellence. It employs over 8,100 permanent staff supporting over 73,000 students.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health is the largest faculty in the University. This integrated faculty brings opportunity for innovation, progressive thinking and challenging the status quo by establishing productive research units that cross traditional clinical school and discipline boundaries.

This CLEARbridge Chair in Cancer Immunotherapy has been established thanks to the generous support of the CLEARbridge Foundation. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding academic as Chair to support the University’s vision for advancing research in the field of immunotherapy. The program should deliver internationally competitive discovery research which fundamentally advances our understanding of the immune system. The outputs of the research should have implications for immunotherapeutic treatments for cancer and other conditions. The applicant will work closely with clinicians and scientists who share a passion and expertise for developing tailored therapies.

The successful candidate will be expected to have an outstanding track record of success in peer-reviewed publications and in competitive grant funding, especially in areas that are directly relevant to immunotherapy.
