YOUR TEAM
The selected candidate for this position will support the Plasmon Nanotechnologies Research Line coordinated by Francesco De Angelis, who have extensive experience in advanced nanofabrication techniques for the applications of photonic and plasmonic devices to biology and bio-sensing.
We are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Senior technician with excellent skills in cell cultures and basic cellular and molecular biology.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:
• Preparation and maintenance of in vitro cell cultures (stem cells, primary cell lines, immortalized cell lines and 3D cultures)
- Basic molecular biology techniques (nucleic acid and protein isolation, qRT-PCR, WB)
- Fluorescence microscopy (immunofluorescence, image data processing)
- In vitro electrophysiological recordings using Microelectrode Arrays (MEAs)
- Cell viability and proliferation assays
- General laboratory organization, maintenance of laboratory supplies and equipment
- Actively participate in ongoing projects in the Plasmon Nanotechnologies group
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
• A Degree in Biology or closely related area.
• Proactive attitude and results-oriented mindset.
• A good knowledge of English or ability to attain.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills and willingness to integrate in an international research team.
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE

• In vitro electrophysiological recordings using Microelectrode Arrays (MEAs)
