Position Description

The Haskayne School of Business invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach the following Accounting course.

Lecture dates for the Fall 2022 term are September 6 – December 7, 2022. Registrar Scheduled Final Exams are held December 10 – 22, 2022, if applicable. The course is scheduled to be taught in a face-to-face modality.

ACCT 421 – Taxation 

L01 Monday/Wednesday  3:30-4:45 pm
L02 Monday/Wednesday  5:00-6:15 pm
T01 Friday  11:00 – 11:50 am
T02 Friday  12:00 – 12:50 pm

The calendar description of the course:  
Taxation levied on profits, sales, property and estates and its impact upon management decisions. Consideration will be given to the biases and shifts implicit in any system of taxation.

Qualifications:

1) Master’s Degree and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
2) Previous post secondary accounting teaching experience is a requirement. 
3) Preference will be given to applicants who have previous experience teaching Acct 421 and who have experience providing instruction online in a post secondary setting should the need arise.
4) Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset.
