Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) works within some of the key areas important to fulfilling the motto of Karolinska Institutet ´to improve human health´. The Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) carries out research and offers education with the aim to promote the practical implementation of research findings and newly acquired knowledge in the field of public health and healthcare. The department has two university-wide areas of activity – pedagogical development and support, as well as research, education and counseling in the field of healthcare and research ethics. It is an exciting work environment where research and education are in focus.
We are now looking for a full-time Project coordinator in the field of suicide prevention who can take part and support our suicide preventive activities in Sweden and Internationally.
Your mission
You will be working at the National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (NASP) as part of an international team that is focused on research in the field of mental health and suicide prevention. As Project coordinator in the field of suicide prevention, you will:
- Collaborate in several of our research projects, which involve the design, evaluation and implementation of suicide preventive interventions
- Take coordination responsibility in specific projects
- Perform research support activities, such as writing ethical committee applications and drafting research reports to Swedish and International stakeholders
- Contribute to the analysis and reporting of suicide statistics, in Sweden and internationally
- Perform evidence reviews to provide evidence based answers to questions about suicide by policy makers and the general public
- Draft and disseminate evidence based recommendations for suicide prevention
Your profile
We are looking for those who have:
- A master’s degree in psychology, public health, neuroscience, mental health or related field
- A great interest in the research area of suicide prevention
- Experience in the planning and executing of quantitative studies, including the collection and analysis of data
- Excellent oral and written skills in Swedish
- Good working proficiency of English
It is an advantage if you have the following skills:
- A doctorate in the field of psychology, public health, neuroscience, mental health or related field
- Documented experience in the field of suicide prevention
- Experience in coordinating and administering research projects
- Excellent oral and written skills in English
- Experience in publishing scientific papers besides those included in your dissertation
- Being able to work independently on research data
- Knowledge of advanced statistical methods
