Within its Legal office at the Central administration, the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Legal advisor. The Legal Advisor will join a dynamic and collaborative team and report to the Corporate Counsel.

Your Role…
Provide legal advice and support for all types of legal documents and contracts but in particular for research-related contracts. Ensure the development of legal documentation and preparation of contracts, in accordance with legal regulations.
Contribute to projects related to legal activities.
Contribute to decision making, add value to the organization and facilitate the achievement of objectives as well as safeguard the University’s legal position and reputation; ensure legal compliance.
Your Tasks:
Liaising with and assisting the University faculties and interdisciplinary centers, as well as other University services in relation with their legal needs. In particular:
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a broad range of legal documents and agreements, such as research, collaboration, licensing, material transfer, academic, NDAs, service agreements etc
- Analyzing and verifying potential risks, proposing solutions
- Liaising with other University services to provide all-rounded advice on projects, in particular working in close contact with the colleagues in charge of technology transfer, data protection, procurement, tax, human resources, academic affairs, students affairs, finance etc.
- Advising on different fields of expertise: intellectual property, state aid, public research funding, public procurement, provision of services, academic affairs, creation of start-ups etc.
- Contributing to the development of the University’s policies, procedures and overarching projects
What we expect from you…
- Master’s degree in law
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar position
- Excellent written communication skills in English and French, German would be a strong advantage
- Solid experience in contracts law
- Specialization in Intellectual Property Law / Public Law is an advantage
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to details and accuracy
- Team player, able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, capable of coping with pressure
- Ability to work in an autonomous and proactive manner
