The Psychological Methods group of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) seeks to appoint a programmer to assist the further development of the open-source program JASP (jasp-stats.org) in collaboration with a team of other programmers and researchers.
What are you going to do
You will be engaged in application programming for the core of JASP. Please consult the JASP GitHub page for an impression of the present code base.
What do we require
You have:
- A passion for developing open-source software;
- The desire and the ability to collaborate with a team of motivated colleagues;
- Experience with (modern) C++. Experience with Qt and qml is desirable;
- Experience with R is a plus;
Our offer
The position concerns a temporary appointment of 38 hours per week for a term of 2 years. A part-time position is also possible.
For this position the University Job Classification profile ‘ Ontwikkelaar ICT 2’ applies.
Your salary will be between € 3.974 and € 5.439 gross per month depending on relevant work experience, based on full-time employment and in keeping with the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities. We additionally offer an extensive package of secondary benefits, including 8% holiday allowance and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
