The University of Luxembourg is looking for its Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Mathematics (Statistics).
The position is funded by the ERA Chair SanDAL in Mathematical Statistics and Data Science (https://sandal.uni.lu/).
Your Role…
- Research related to the following areas: Mathematical Statistics, Machine Learning
- Contribute to setting up an internationally competitive research team in Mathematical Statistics
- The candidate is expected to take part in the scientific activities (seminars, colloquia, schools) that are organized within Y. Baraud’s group and the Mathematics Department
- The teaching load is approximately 67 hours per academic year
What we expect from you…
- A high quality Ph.D. in Mathematics
- Solid knowledge of Probability Theory and Statistics
- A taste for the theory of Mathematical Statistics or its applications to Life Sciences and Industry
- Dedication to doing Mathematics at a research level
- Good written and oral skills in English
