We offer an attractive Research Associate (Postdoc) position in close cooperation with our partners. The successful candidate will join the Computer Vision, Machine Intelligence and Imaging (CVI²) research group headed by Prof. Djamila Aouada to conduct exciting research and development in the field of Computer Vision. Your Role…
The successful candidate will join a strong and motivated research team led by Prof. Djamila Aouada to work on one or more of the following areas:
- Healthcare
- Surveillance
- Cybersecurity
- Education
- Public outreach
The position holder will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Develop and guarantee a strong communication with project stakeholders
- Managing projects with a large consortium
- Managing outreach projects/activities
- Development of different computer vision algorithms/platforms
- Disseminating results through scientific publications
- Attracting funding in cooperation with industrial partners
- Participating in proposal writing
- Shaping research directions and producing results
- Coordinating research projects and delivering outputs
- Providing support in setting up and running experiments
- Implementing real-time solutions
- Providing guidance to PhD and MSc students
- Organizing relevant workshops and demonstrations
- Participating to the teaching activities
Your Profile…
- A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field
- Strong development skills in Java/Python/C++
- Strong mathematical background
- Broad experience with machine learning algorithms and deep learning concepts
- Good experience with one or more of the machine learning platforms: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.
- Commitment, team working and a critical mind
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory
