The department seeks ambitious candidates early in their careers and aims to strengthen its capacity in the intersection between business taxation and asset management. The position is affiliated with the Norwegian Center for Taxation (NoCeT) at NHH and is partly financed by a project on the taxation of dividends. Other relevant research topics at the center include capital taxes, multinational corporations and taxation, tax planning and tax evasion, the relationship between corporate and personal taxation, as well as how the tax system affects resource allocation, productivity and sustainability.
With respect to teaching, the department specifically needs to strengthen its teaching capacity in household finance and taxation. Still, it aims for candidates that can teach broadly on business topics such as capital budgeting, management control, the green transition, digital economy and analytics.
The position involves teaching, on average, one course per year as well as some graduate supervision. NHH emphasises that it expects teaching of high quality, and the appointee must take one basic module of the programme for university pedagogy in the course of the fixed-term period. The department is responsible for large courses in NHH’s master’s and bachelor’s program that are taught in Norwegian. We, therefore, seek candidates with proficiency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
Applicants should have completed a PhD in relevant subjects by the date of appointment.
