The Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing invites applications for a Max Planck Research Group Leader (m/f/d) (W2) in Biology of Ageing (job code 09-2023).
We seek a talented, dynamic, independent, and motivated scientist early in his/her career to establish a Max Planck Research Group at our Max Planck Institute in Cologne. The successful candidate will develop an independent research programme using his/her own budget, which will fund research positions, consumables, and equipment. Candidates should have an outstanding scientific track record with clear evidence of leadership, and perform cutting-edge research in one or more aspects of the biology of ageing in any system, including humans.
The initial appointment of the group leader is for 5 years with the possibility of extension (2 x 2 years) after international review. More general information. The start date is envisioned for spring 2024.
