Can you create innovative and focused communications which inspire and inform graduates of the Nottingham University Business School? Can you use your content skills to develop and deliver targeted communications campaigns that are relevant to a global audience?

We are looking for a Communications Manager who can partner with colleagues in the Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) to create and deliver an exciting programme of communications and content, specifically targeted at Business School graduates.

Based in the Campaign and Alumni Relations Office, you will lead the development of communications and content projects: creating written and visual content for both print and online channels. The work you do will inspire former Business School students and other University of Nottingham graduates with an interest in business to connect and engage, sharing the stories of our global alumni community and raising the profile of our research and expertise.

Nottingham University Business School is an international leader in finance and management education with ambitious plans for its future. It is the only business school in the UK to hold triple accreditation from AACSB International for its operations on every campus (UK, China and Malaysia). NUBS is also one of the few business schools in the world that hold ‘triple crown’ accreditation –AACSB in the United States, AMBA in the UK, and EQUIS in Europe. The School is set to make a significant investment in its staff, students and research, as well as expanding its operations to the new Castle Meadow Campus in Nottingham city centre.

We are committed to equality of opportunity in employment and seek to create a positive working environment for all our employees, by welcoming applications from everyone and promoting equal opportunities. We value the varied perspectives and experiences that a diverse team can bring. We offer leading fitness and health facilities and staff discounts, along with a generous holiday allowance and attractive pension scheme.

You will have:

  • A good understanding of the conceptual frameworks that underpin integrated marketing communications.
  • Strong content creation skills across offline and online channels.
  • A good understanding of the needs of people working in business and current business issues.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people.
  • The ability to target and tailor your content for a global audience.

The role has line management responsibility for one direct report.

This is a permanent post (blending time working on our Nottingham campuses with home working). Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however, applications are welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Victoria Hodson, email VICTORIA.HODSON@NOTTINGHAM.AC.UK. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
