Do you have what it takes to support the Alumni Volunteering team at the University of Nottingham?
We are seeking a talented and motivated Alumni Volunteering Officer who can help us maximise volunteering contributions by supporting the volunteer management process, including thanking and stewarding volunteers to the University. Volunteers help the University of Nottingham in many ways from speaking about their careers, mentoring, and sitting on boards to assisting on student projects (to give a few examples!).
Reporting to the Faculty Alumni Volunteering Manager, you will help the team harness the time, expertise, and influence of alumni, volunteers, advocates, and other friends. This role is pivotal to creating a positive supporter experience for each volunteer and helping inspire future volunteering to support the University’s strategic priorities across the globe. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly expanded Alumni Volunteering team engaged in securing and mobilising funding, volunteering, and advocacy.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Great customer service skills
- A keen eye for detail in managing relationships
- Organisational and planning skills to manage key projects
The Alumni Volunteering team, and the wider Campaign and Alumni Relations Office (CARO), strive to foster a welcoming, inspiring, and supportive workplace. We have a diverse alumni and supporter community who come from a mix of cultures and backgrounds, and we aspire to reflect that within the CARO team. We are seeking applications from candidates whose background, experience, and identity broadens and enhances the diversity of our existing team. We would especially welcome applications from members of groups who are currently underrepresented.
This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours), however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 21.75 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered for this position. Applications are invited for the above post based across our Nottingham campuses, working in a hybrid working team.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Stephanie Baxter, Faculty Alumni Volunteering Manager (Engineering), tel: +44 (0) 7816 195656 or email: Stephanie.Baxter@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
