The Zero Carbon Cluster is a strategic area of focus in the University of Nottingham’s Research Strategy: extending the role of the University further into the translation of research into commercial solutions. The Head of Engagement and Knowledge Exchange is a vital role among the Zero Carbon Cluster leadership team and critical to building excitement and engagement around Zero Carbon activities. 

Using a range of communication tools to inform and engage with key stakeholders this role will work closely alongside business engagement and development staff to raise the profile of the Zero Carbon Cluster.  You will have experience of leading engagement and communications campaigns as well as developing content and messaging for strategic programmes. You will also be well practised in using a range of media to communicate technical concepts to a variety of lay audiences.

This role works alongside existing central External Relations and Communications posts to ensure an aligned approach to branding and strategic communications.  We are looking for someone who is a strong collaborator with experience working in a matrix-style environment. You will need a keen eye for detail as you give expert advice to academic and professional staff and oversee communications, ensuring the materials accurately reflect our brand and values.

This position is available on a fixed term basis for 2 years. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however, applications are welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Arrangements for job share may be considered.
