We are looking for a Governance and Executive Services Administrator to join our existing team. What can you expect? A friendly, supportive team who still have time for fun even in a fast paced, dynamic and professional office, who are committed to driving ever increasing high standards.
You will be a friendly, proactive, and self-motivated individual, who is not fazed by constantly changing priorities and demands; you will have administrative experience, excellent communication, and people skills, as well as strong organisational skills. Your previous experience will enable you to provide professional, confidential, proactive, and flexible administrative support to the Governance and Executive Services Team. You will be based mainly in the Registrar’s Office providing support across other sections as required: Executive Office and Governance.
The role is varied and interesting, listed below are some of the main responsibilities, but this is list is not exhaustive:
- To provide support to the Executive Assistants to ensure seamless support to members of the University Executive Board.
- To build effective working relationships with colleagues across the University.
- To provide cover for Reception Desks as required.
- To provide support to the wider Governance & Executive Services Team, as requested.
A high level of IT skills will be required, including an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications and the use of business systems including Agresso.
The successful candidate should have experience of working in a busy office environment where customer service skills and a can-do approach are paramount. You should have the ability to produce high-quality accurate work in a demanding environment and to tight deadlines.
You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising and managing your own work whilst demonstrating flexibility to help other members of the team.
You should be educated to A level, or equivalent plus hands on experience in a similar role. Alternatively, a proven track record of significant relevant work experience.
This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. A degree of flexibility is required to provide cover during office hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
