Salary: £39,592 to £54,421 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering is seeking an Assistant Professor in Teaching and Curriculum Leadership to drive our curriculum development and provide a best in class learning experience in developing and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

Currently highly ranked in the UK for Chemical and Environmental Engineering, we are part of a multidisciplinary Faculty of Engineering. You will be joining a highly multidisciplinary environment where collaboration between Faculty staff, students and external colleagues is key to the successful delivery of our curriculum and research.

An integral part of your role will be developing your passion for world-class teaching and curriculum leadership in Chemical and Environmental Engineering to our students and engaging and supporting them using creative and innovative approaches. You will need to be able to deliver and supervise teaching and learning activities in a CEE laboratory environment.

You will need to work proactively with colleagues, Directors of Education and Student Experience, and a wider educational team to design, develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences and you will be a clear and confident communicator with the ability to engage and inspire students and colleagues across the Faculty.

You will be educated to degree level in a chemical or process engineering or a closely related discipline such that you are comfortable contributing broadly across our programmes and have the ability to provide engineering context to your teaching. 

This post is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
