At the University of Nottingham, we are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director to lead the strategic development of a student community that is second to none. We set the highest standards in enabling our students to excel and to thrive; they know that they belong in our community and are valued within it. We create an environment in which our students’ wellbeing is prioritised so that they can succeed, whilst at university and in their lives beyond.
This role will allow you the opportunity to challenge the status quo and the autonomy and resources to design and deliver new initiatives to further enhance student and campus life. To be successful, you will have strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of university culture and how to influence it in order to effect positive change. You will be a credible and effective stakeholder manager, with significant experience of leading, developing and motivating a team of staff in a student-focused environment. Bringing energy, vision and the ability to challenge, you will work in partnership with students to develop innovative solutions and successfully implement them.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students and to deliver on our mission to transform lives and unlock potential and possibility through education. We value diversity in our teams to enhance our service delivery and student experience. Applications are welcomed from all backgrounds and particularly encouraged from individuals in traditionally underrepresented groups such as Black, Asian or other ethnic minority backgrounds. This is a full time, permanent position.
Following applications, longlisted candidates will be invited to an informal online interview in mid-July. (date to be confiemd) Following that shortlisted candidates will be invited to an in-person panel interview and campus tour on Thursday 10th August.
