At the University of Nottingham, our childcare services have a reputation for excellence. We offer a range of childcare provisions for children from 4 months to 12 years at our Day Nursery and Playcentre, delivered by competent, skilled practitioners.
To join our team you must be an outstanding child centred early years professional, already holding a relevant degree in the field, or a minimum level 3 qualification recognised as full and relevant by the DfE https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-qualifications-achieved-in-england. With a strong commitment to high quality provision, you will need to be creative and able to provide a stimulating, awe-inspiring environment for children that engages their interest, their curiosity and exploration and discovery skills.
Working as part of a dedicated team you will be required to establish strong relationships with children and their families providing a safe and secure emotional environment within which children can thrive. You will be a named key person to a group of children, ensuring that their individual needs are identified and met within our setting. You will help to ensure that the environment is hygienic, safe, stimulating, exciting and encourages children to actively explore, experiment and investigate the world in which they live. You will carry out and analyse observations, produce individual development plans and provide activities that are tailored to individual needs as well as provide for children’s individual care needs and promote their self-help skills.

The position is offered on a permanent contract working full time (Monday to Friday) 39 hours per week. Job share arrangements may be considered.
