Your role as Second Chef
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and passionate Chef to be part of the kitchen Team at our Sutton Bonington Campus near Loughborough. You will assist and deputise for the Chef Manager ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes to specification every time. You will have a real passion for food and a desire to develop and learn in a fast-paced environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring exceptional operational standards and the smooth delivery of service are achieved, will be a positive contributor to future menu ideas and will enjoy being part of a motivated and positive team.
Duties will also include the preparation of food for high profile events including formal dinners and campus events whilst ensuring all relevant Food Safety documentation is completed. You will have excellent cooking skills and considerable supervisory experience. Knowledge of a range of Microsoft Office products and experience of stock management are also essential for this role.
Candidates should be qualified to 706 1/ 2 or NVQ 1/2 in Food Production, or have substantial relevant experience gained within a similar large scale catering environment.

Hours of work
Post- 36.25 hours per week, worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged and will include working evenings and regular weekends. Flexibility will be required. Arrangements for job share will be considered.
