Jubilee Campus/Medical School (Queens Medical Centre)

Your role as a Building Attendant
This role will support the day to day running of University buildings at either Jubilee Campus or at the Medical School at the Queens Medical Centre, including portering, office moves and setting up classrooms and meeting rooms to meet customer requirements. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, providing information and assistance where required and will be responsible for locking and unlocking buildings and testing fire alarms. Other duties include the collection and delivery of internal mail, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, inspecting fixtures and fittings ensuring that excellent customer service is provided at all times.
It is essential for this role that candidates have experience of working in a similar customer facing environment and have some supervisory experience. Ideally you will also have experience of setting up meeting rooms, knowledge of testing fire and security alarm systems and have cleaning experience gained within a similar environment.

Post 1 – Jubilee Campus. Hours of work are 36.25 per week, worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged mainly Tuesday to Friday between 6.00am and 2.15pm and Saturday between 11.45am and 8.00pm. Flexibility will be required.
Post 2 – Medical School. Hours of work are 36.25 per week, worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged mainly Monday to Friday between 11.45am and 8.00pm. Flexibility will be required.
The successful candidates for these posts will be expected to attend the Estates and Facilities training courses which will run Monday to Friday mornings. Further details will be given at interview.
