This is an exciting time to join the External Relations department at the University of Nottingham as we make fundamental changes to how we engage with our students, staff and partners.
Working as part of the Digital and Marketing leadership team, you will help us to create irresistible customer journeys and exceptional user experiences so that we continue to attract the brightest, best and most brilliant to our university.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Digital and Marketing and managing a diverse team of content, design, video, social and photography specialists, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a new ‘internal agency’ approach to creating high-performing content for integrated marketing and communications campaigns.
To be successful for this role, you’ll have exceptional managerial and people skills and a creative, agile and digital first mindset. You’ll bring experience of working agency side and you’ll understand just how to get the best out of your creative team and help us achieve our business goals.
Key responsibilities:
- In collaboration with key stakeholders, develop content and channel strategies to drive student recruitment, research advocacy, brand and reputation
- Lead, develop and inspire a team of digital creatives to continuously drive performance by working creatively, collaboratively and flexibly with internal colleagues and external agencies
- Develop a range of content types for use across digital, social and in- person channels including copy, typography, illustration, photography, video and animation
- Lead the transition to an internal agency service model including the design of principles, processes, workflows and the management of internal clients
- Champion new designs and processes and share best practice across distributed university content creators, providing expert advice, training and guidance where required

This is a permanent role. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
