Project: Investigating genome structural variability at the nanoscale
Commitment & contract: Postdoctoral position, 1 year collaboration contract (renewable)

Integrative Nuclear Architecture is a new IIT Research Line that will start its activity in September 2022 under the coordination of Dr. Irene Farabella, who has extensive experience in integrative modelling, imagining data analysis and 3D genomics.
The research will mainly focus on developing analysis and modelling tools to investigate the 3D genome plasticity in single-cell.
Within the team, your main responsibility will be to apply and develop innovative approaches to the analysis and modelling of genome imaging data, as OligoSTORM, and -omics data.
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE
- A PhD in computational biology/theoretical physics/bioinformatics or similar disciplines.
- Documented experience in technologies related to the study of genome structures and good proficiency in Python.
- A strong publication records
- The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
- Documented experience in coaching junior scientists
- Good command in spoken and written English
EXTRA AWESOME
- Experience on super-resolution imaging of biomolecules
- Knowledge of molecular dynamic simulations, optimization modelling and/or imaging analysis.
- A strong background in (molecular) biology.
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem-solving attitude
- High motivation to learn

- Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
