YOUR TEAM
You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where electronics, mechanical and software engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
The Humanoid Sensing and Perception research line (www.iit.it/web/humanoid-sensing-and-perception) is seeking to appoint a full-time Robotics Software Engineer on the topic of robot control, perception and planning.
You will join the interdisciplinary team of the iCub project. You will contribute to the joint laboratory between IIT and Danieli Automation. Danieli Automation is a large international company active in the industrial automation field.
The IIT-Danieli joint laboratory carries out research and development specifically in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence applied to industrial automation in hazardous environments. The goal of the joint laboratory is to reduce risks related to occupational health hazards and thereby increase safety for workers in the steel industry.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic robotics engineer to join our team with the aim to bring modern robotics control and perception planning techniques to the factory floor.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in robotics engineering, computer science, control engineering, computer engineering or related fields
- Good communication skills and ability to cooperate
- Creative, proactive and collaborative attitude
- Proficient in English language (written and oral)
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python or MATLAB
- Experience in control or motion planning of robots
- Experience with computer vision and depth sensors
- Experience in working with industrial robots or PLC systems
- Experience in industrial automation software
- Strong problem solving attitude
- High motivation to learn
- Spirit of innovation and creativity
- Good in time and priority management
- Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment

- Competitive salary package for international standards (Salary can include bonus option depending on your role and contract)
