YOUR TEAM
You’d be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where electronics, mechanical and software engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
As part of IIT, the iCub Tech Facility (https://www.iit.it/it/web/icub-tech) at the (IIT) is seeking to appoint a full-time technician for maintenance and debugging of humanoid robots (mainly iCub and R1) on site and abroad.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the debugging and improve the iCub design and software by giving feedbacks coming from the experience acquired on repairing the overall panel of iCub robots.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues – Read and comprehend CAD design
- Troubleshoot electronics failures
- Rebuild and/or replace broken part
- Collaborate with a debugging team and suggest improvements
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- ITS high school diploma or a master or bachelor degree in robotics, mechanics, electronics or a similar discipline is desirable.
- Good technical skills
- Creative, proactive and collaborative attitude.
- English language skills (written and oral).

- Mechanical CAD user-friendly – any type
- Electronics and new technologies lover
- Good communication skills
- Linux basics knowledge
- Problem solving attitude
- Experience in debugging boards and mechatronic systems
- High motivation to learn
