Course number and title: GLA2037HS – Financial Management for Global Organizations
Course description: An introduction to financial planning and budgeting, financial analysis, and financial management in the corporate and public sector from the perspective of the chief financial officer (CFO). The course first introduces basic principles of accounting for students without a background in Finance. It then considers topics in corporate finance such as working capital management and capital budgeting in the context of floating exchange rates, different regulatory environments and global capital markets. Special attention is given to the estimating cost of capital (and by extension, of valuing stocks and bonds) in global financial markets as it pertains to investment and budgeting decisions.

Sessional Lecturer I: $8,489.67
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $8,869.25
Sessional Lecturer II $9,085.58
Sessional Lecturer III: $9,301.90

Minimum Qualifications: An MBA and CPA is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional experience in accounting is preferred.
Description of duties: Developing the syllabus, teaching one 2-hour lecture per week at the graduate level, providing weekly office hours for academic counseling of students, preparing and delivering course material; preparing and delivering assignments and tests; marking student work and submitting grades.
