We are looking for enthusiastic and professional work group teachers with expertise in the domain of development and mental health (D&H) to set an example to our Psychology students and teach them the required skills, so that they will be able to develop themselves professionally.

As a work group teacher, you will contribute to the development of professional and academic skills that students will later on require to work as scientist-practitioners, as well as to their personal development as academically trained psychologists. Teaching research skills is also an option, supervising third-year Bachelor’s students who are writing their theses.

Through a wide range of tasks and activities, you will orient students to the learning tasks and learning activities, provide background information, and support the implementation of theory into practice. Part of your work will consist of assessing the products of the learning tasks and learning activities.

We have vacancies for multiple courses in Years 1 to 3 of the Bachelor’s degree programme, and are looking for enthusiastic and inspiring work group teachers to join our team. Courses can be combined in a package for work group teachers teaching professional skills and/or research skills in the Bachelor’s programme in Psychology. Assisting in coordinating courses could also be part of the job. Click on the following links for course details:

You can combine courses in consultation, so there are several options. The hours are not evenly distributed over the months: there is a peak in workload when you will be both teaching and grading. You will be bound by the Radboud University holiday schedule (summer holidays from mid-July).

If you have at least a Master’s degree in Psychology (or a Bachelor’s for the courses CSP and D&H2), we invite you to apply and specify  in your application which courses attract you most and how they fit your personal profile, plus how many hours a week you will be available on average.

Profile

  • You are a graduated psychologist with expertise in the domain of development and mental health (this requirement may be waived for CSP and D&H2).
  • You have demonstrable educational experience and affinity with education for psychology students.
  • You have demonstrable practical experience as a psychologist.
  • You have thorough knowledge and practical experience of professional behaviour in the field of psychology. Or with regard to teaching Research Project 3: thorough knowledge and practical experience of research in the domain of development and mental health.
  • You have good speaking and writing skills in English. You should be willing to demonstrate these skills by means of an assessment.
  • The requirements for teaching KPV are: Good speaking and writing skills in Dutch and Basic Psychodiagnostics Certificate (BAPD).
