The Department of Sociology at Stockholm University is a top ranked department offering a collaborative and international research environment. The department has about 100 employees, 600 annual students and contains the Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA).

Project description
The position will be associated with SUDA’s research on recent changes in patterns in family formation and fertility: Rising social Inequalities and Swedish fertility decline.

Main responsibilities
The position involves family-demographic research based on register and survey data.

Qualification requirements
Researchers are appointed primarily for purposes of research and must hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country.

Assessment criteria
In the appointment process, special attention will be given to research skills and the applicant’s previous publications records in relation to this project. They need to demonstrate solid experience with quantitative research and specific experience with longitudinal data.

Terms of employment
The position involves full-time employment for 12 months. Start date is in 2022 as per agreement.
