The Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) works in several strategic areas that are important for improving human health. We focus on research, development and education in medical education, ethics, informatics, medical management, statistics and prevention. It is an exciting work environment where research and education are in focus.
We are now looking for one postdoctoral researcher to work on the following projects:
- “Extended-Personal Reality: augmented recording and transmission of virtual senses through artificial-IntelligENCE” (EXPERIENCE) which has received funding from the EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020. EXPERIENCE’s aim is to create a new Extended-Personal Reality, allowing users to create their own virtual reality (VR) environments, embedded with virtual simulations that elicit unique psychological, cognitive, neurophysiological and behavioural responses. Our role is to explore and evaluate the possibility of using Extended Personal Reality as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool for mental disorders.
- “Promoting social interaction through emOTIONal odours” (POTION) has received funding from the EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020 as well. The project’s aim is to better understand human social chemosignals and how these affect social interactions in terms of approach and avoidance behaviours. Our focus is to determine if and how chemosignals, when artificially synthesized, can be used as part of the diagnosis and treatment of social anxiety and depression, with the use of an innovative odour delivery system.
