Within the University, the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is a highly interdisciplinary research centre (IC), integrating experimental biology and computational biology approaches in order to develop the foundation of a future predictive, preventive and personalized medicine.
Your Role…
As a pioneer in its field, the LCSB/ELIXIR Luxembourg Node develops many research and research-supporting applications in-house. We are looking for a full stack developer to work on different applications developed in-house including ETL scripts, data sharing & exploration platforms and data protection tools.
- You are involved in all steps of the software development process. This begins with the collection and formulation of requirements and ends with the distribution, documentation, deployment, and maintenance of the finished product
- As part of our team of experts you commit to high-quality standards by applying multiple testing technologies and industry best practices
- Become a key actor of continuous improvement and innovation within the group
- Contribute to valorization / publication of new findings and developments
What we expect from you…
- A University Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or another field but with equivalent proven experience as software developer
- Proven experience in developing web applications
- Thorough knowledge of Python 3
- Good knowledge of the following technologies:
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Relational databases
- Flask, Django or other MVC framework
- git, or similar code versioning systems
- Desired but not mandatory, knowledge of:
- JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
- Jekyll
- Linux service administration, Docker
- Solr, Postgres
- Celery, RabbitMQ
