Applicants are invited for the above post based at the Biodiscovery Institute, School of Medicine, University of Nottingham.
Within this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for driving a translational research project focussed on DNA repair and replication in ovarian cancer. The candidate will join Prof Madhusudan’s team at Nottingham Ovarian Cancer Research Centre (NOVARC). NOVARC was recently established with £4 Million funding as a ‘research centre of excellence’ in ovarian cancer. NOVARC brings together clinicians, clinician scientist, translational researchers, and basic scientists with the aim of improving outcomes for patients with ovarian cancer.
Candidates must have extensive research experience focussed on DNA damage signalling, DNA repair and DNA replication. The candidate must have completed PhD or PhD thesis pending in cancer research. Experience in various DNA repair and replication assays as well as tissue culture methodologies is essential. The candidate will work within a dynamic team, be a team player and expected to have experience in cancer research publications.
This role is fixed term for 2 years. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 20 hours per week).
