For an exciting education innovation in the collaboration of the TU/e Intelligent Lighting Institute and TU/e innovation Space, we have a job opportunity for a driven, dedicated, and out-of-the-box thinking education designer.
Job description
TU/e wants to collaborate with societal and industrial partners to develop lifelong learning programs for professionals aligned with the education vision.
To develop these programs, TU/e innovation space and the TU/e Intelligent Lighting Institute developed a pilot. The lighting industry is fast developing, with new technologies emerging and implemented in intelligent lighting solutions. People with a degree working in the field must regularly refresh their knowledge. Currently, a limited number of courses for professionals are available, but none of them are on an academic level, and none address intelligent lighting with sufficient depth.
The Intelligent Lighting Institute sees an opportunity and wants to play a role by providing up-to-date multidisciplinary knowledge to these professionals.
This project aims to develop and test a challenge-based learning model for professional education. We will address issues like the most suitable platform, how to develop the knowledge modules accompanied to this challenge, and what framework facilitates our criteria for distance learning, next to the actual development and validation of learning modules on intelligent lighting, and the development of methods for self-assessment and formal assessments.
