Research Description

Our School is part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, one of five faculties at the University of Nottingham, itself one of the 24 UK Russell Group universities.
We are pleased to announce a fully funded PhD vacancy to fall under one of the following areas:
- Exploring the meaning of ‘Scholarship’ in Higher Education
- Beyond individual responsibility to building resilient organisational systems to support healthcare students in Higher Education
- The use of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching, Learning and Assessment in Higher Education
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead the design of the research questions, aims and objectives with guidance from the supervisory team. We also have an ongoing relationship with the University of Adelaide which may afford additional opportunities with regards to the supervisory package.
Award Start Date: 01/10/2023
Duration of Award: 36 months
Terms and Conditions
36 months fully funded PhD including tax free stipend and tuition fees with an additional (unfunded) year for write up. This research studentship is only available to UK citizens and includes payment of tuition fees and a tax-free stipend of £18,622 pa. Opportunities for paid teaching and to obtain a teaching qualification throughout the duration of your study are also available.
Applicant Qualification Requirements
Applicants should have an interest in Health Sciences. They should hold, or be expected to obtain, a minimum of a UK Honours degree at 2:1 or equivalent in a Health science subject or a 2:2 plus a Masters degree.
