An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our People Engagement and Culture (PEAC) team on a fixed-term basis, to provide support for our colleague apprenticeship provision. The PEAC team comprises the Organisational Development; the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and the Colleague Wellbeing teams and between us we aim to improve the colleague experience at the University. The focus for this role is to support our colleague apprenticeship provision, in particular our pool of early career Business Administrator Apprentices. This is a varied role involving training delivery, communications and event management. You will act as a key point of contact for apprentices, line managers and learning mentors. You will also help create educational and promotional materials, ensuring our on-line information/resources reflect our key aspirational values of excellence, creativity and impact. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who might be interested in a career in learning and development or People Services. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others reach their potential, a keen team player and able to juggle multiple priorities. 

This is a 1 year fixed term position to support the launch of our Business Administrator Apprenticeship programme.

Key Accountabilities
•    Support the Senior Organisation Development team in the delivery of early career apprenticeship programmes
•    Deliver engaging training for early career apprentices that encourages colleagues to achieve their planned outcomes
•    Provide professional, friendly support to early career apprentices throughout their learning journey
•    Provide early career apprentices with advice and, where appropriate, one-to-one coaching on all learning options available including on-line resources to facilitate and maximise learning
•    Support apprenticeship administrative activities including, but not limited to, collating and reviewing evaluations and feedback, monitoring and updating training records and supporting in scheduling internal training events
•    Co-ordinate and support recruitment and promotion events championing colleague apprenticeship provision
•    Create educational and promotional materials to support colleague apprenticeships
•    Act as a key point of contact for early career apprentices, mentors and managers
•    Provide back up for the PEAC Admin Team Leader as and when required

The Person (Essential)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

•    Experience of working in a learning, training or organisational development environment
•    Experience delivering in-person and virtual training or events
•    Experience of working as part of busy customer-facing team working to planned outcomes and project timelines
•    A skilled team player who collaborates easily across multiple teams
•    Experience of producing written content e.g. newsletters, webpages.  
•    Ability to prioritise own work efficiently in order to deal with conflicting priorities
•    Experience of mentoring or coaching others
•    Ability to work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines
•    Competent in the use of Microsoft Office 
•    An awareness of apprenticeships relevant to the role (desirable)

Qualifications

•    Educated to GCSE level (in English and Maths) Grades A-C, or equivalent, or demonstrable experience in a similar role
