The doctoral project will focus on analyzing the transcriptomic reprogramming of plant genomes (Arabidopsis thaliana and other model systems) during reproduction

The successful applicant will work in the research group of German Martinez at the Department of Plant Biology at the SLU, Uppsala. The department has approximately 90 employees and conducts research focused on plant development biology, diversity and defense (https://www.slu.se/en/departments/plant-biology-forest-genetics/). The department belongs to Uppsala BioCentrum (https://internt.slu.se/en/support-services/campus-and-buildings/uppsala-biocenter/), an excellent research environment that combines expertise in plant biology, forest mycology and plant pathology, microbiology, food science, chemistry and biotechnology with a high-quality infrastructure including consisting of modern plant cultivation facilities and equipment for advanced microscopy as well as molecular biology. The department is also part of the Linnaeus Center for Plant Biology in Uppsala (www.lcpu.se), a platform for interactions between plant researchers at SLU and Uppsala University.
