<p>At the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Clinical Medicine, a position as Professor in Health Economics is open for appointment as of August 2022. The position is limited to 20% of a full-time position.</p> <p>The vacant position is with the research group Danish Center for Healthcare Improvements (DCHI), which is an application-oriented, interdisciplinary research group. The overall aim of DCHI is to improve the cost-effectiveness of initiatives within the healthcare sector by providing decision-makers with qualified and research-based input for decision-making.</p>

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be taking part in teaching, supervision and research within the topics health economics and health policies and expected to take part in the continuing formulations and development of DCHIs research areas and teaching activities.

The teaching of relevant courses are on both a basic and an advanced level at the Master programme of Medicine with Industrial Specialization, Medical Market Access, the Master programme of Public Health and the Master programme of Economics at Aalborg University. As the teaching is in English the applicant must document the ability to teach, supervise and assess both written and oral presentations in English.

Additionally, the candidate is expected to contribute to attracting external funding and facilitating contacts with external partners and actors within the healthcare sector.

Qualification requirements

The level of qualifications shall correspond to the ordinary position at a level of professor. Documented scientific production shall also be taken into consideration.

An assessment of the ability of the candidate to undertake the specific projects related to the appointment in question will be particularly emphasized.

  • Copies of relevant diplomas (Master of Science and PhD). On request you could be asked for an official English translation.
  • Scientific qualifications. A complete list of publications must be attached with an indication of the works the applicant wishes to be considered. You may attach up to 10 publications.
  • Teaching qualifications described in the teaching portfolio.  If this is not enclosed the applicant must include an explanation for its absence.
  • Dissemination qualifications, including participation on committees or boards, participation in organisations and the like.
  • Research plan describing intentions and visions for the position 
  • Additional qualifications in relation to the position.
  • References/recommendations.
  • Personal data.

An assessment committee will assess all candidates.

AGREEMENT

Appointment and salary acc. to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of professional Associations (AC) on Academics in the State. Employment as Professor is in accordance with a classified position on scale 37. In addition, a pensionable increment will be given.
