Information and application

About us

We offer a guest position in each of the research groups of the school of Innovation Sciences.

Human Technology Interaction (HTI) group
Research of the Human-Technology Interaction (HTI) group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) focuses on social and cognitive psychology and persuasion, analyzing how humans interact with technology in ways that work best for them and for society at at large.

Behavioral sciences can deliver value to a society suffused with technology, based on solid theory and a methodological approach. By studying technology and how it relates to humans and human well-being, the group develops and contributes to new scientific niches at the crossroads between humans and technology, whilst contributing to its core disciplinary domains. In this way, HTI and TU/e help new technologies deliver the greatest possible benefits without losing sight of the human factor.

Philosophy and Ethics (P&E) group
Research at the Philosophy and Ethics (P&E) group connects philosophy and ethics to technology and innovation. We believe the design, use, and regulation of technologies is enriched by ethical and philosophical analysis. In turn, philosophy must be informed by science, innovation, and technological developments. A few of the research topics studied in the group include theories and models of technological and cultural evolution, and ethical assessment of persuasive technologies, social robotics, and advances in medical and mobility technologies.

The Technology, Innovation & Society (TIS) group
The Technology, Innovation & Society (TIS) group at TU/e is unique in combining questions on innovation and long-term transitions, and aspire to be a leading group in this field worldwide. We have a strong embedding in relevant social science and humanities disciplines such as innovation studies, economics of innovation, Science- and Technology Studies (STS) TS, sustainability transition studies, and history of technology. We study sustainable innovation and transitions in systemic, transdisciplinary, and transnational perspective.
