YOUR TEAM
The Computational Nanoplasmonics Research line is coordinated by Dr. Ciracì, who has extensive experience in theoretical and computational electromagnetism, solid-state physics, and nonlinear optics.
The research focuses on physics-driven applications based on light and also includes the study of plasmonic systems for achieving enhanced light-matter interactions, nonlinear and quantum effects.
The selected candidate will be integrated in an international and highly motivated research group, working in state-of-the-art computing resources. He/she will participate in the development of Python interface for the resolution of vector field equation based on finite-element methods.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A MSc in Physics, Materials Science, Electromagnetism, Photonics, Nanotechnologies, Engineering and similar disciplines;
- Documented experience on numerical simulations of electromagnetic systems involving different methods (e.g., FDTD or FEM);
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++;
- Good command in spoken and written English.

- Knowledge of COMSOL or FEniCS;
