Position Description

The Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary is looking for Sessional Instructors to teach the lab portions for KNES 201 Activity: Essence & Experience in Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 semester.

KNES 201: Course Description:
Experience in various activities and movement patterns and the study of the fundamental factors that influence the activities we choose and the way we move.

Lab Instructor(s) Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Instructor of record for a specific activity lab including all instruction and grading
  • Strong proficiency with online instruction tools (e.g., Zoom, Yuja, D2L, etc.)
  • Other assigned duties

Please note that the method of instruction for this course may be online. Applicants must have experience delivering courses in a remote setting, which includes evidence of successful use of online lectures, student participation channels and assessment methods. 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the related field with advanced expertise in teaching physical activities.
