Course Number, Title & DescriptionNFS 284 Basic Human NutritionAn introductory course to provide the fundamentals of human nutrition to enable students to understand and think critically about the complex interrelationships between food, nutrition, health and the environment.

Class ScheduleOnline Asynchronous. This course is online and does not require attendance at a specific time for class activities. There are no in-person activities or assessments (e.g., exams). Lectures are to be posted for asynchronous viewing. This course requires 3 contact hours per week (lecture) and virtual office hours for students.
Sessional DatesSept 8 to Dec 20, 2022, inclusive except Nov 7-11 (No class: November reading week)
Salary$8,490  – $9,302
QualificationsApplicants should have a graduate degree (master or doctoral level) from nutrition or a nutrition-related discipline; teaching experience at the undergraduate level is an asset
DutiesNormal teaching duties, including online delivery: plans course content, provides lectures, sets assignments and examinations, trains and supports teaching assistants, supports student learning; course materials from the previous instructor will be available

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.

Please note: Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement rather than the Unit 3 collective agreement, and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.
