The Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition is committed to fundamental legal and economic research on processes of innovation and competition and their regulation. As an independent research institution, we provide evidence-based research results to academia, policymakers, the private sector as well as the general public.

The Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC) is a cooperation project of the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition with the University of Augsburg, the Technical University of Munich and the George Washington University. Our main task is the implementation of the international English-language LL.M. program “Intellectual Property and Competition Law”. For this program, we are  seeking an Administrative Director (m/f/d).

Your duties

  • Manage marketing of the LL.M. program (predominantly digital); this task includes, but is not limited to:
  • Creation and implementation of a comprehensive marketing strategy
  • Relaunch (currently in progress) and management of the MIPLC website
  • Implementation of the new MIPLC corporate identity
  • Integration of MIPLC Alumni Network into marketing strategy
  • Cultivation of the social media presence of MIPLC
  • Identification and acquisition of third-party funding sources
  • Manage student recruitment
  • Manage the internship program and provide basic career services
  • Coordinate MIPLC Boards and Board meetings
  • Take care of various administrative tasks at the MPI and the University of Augsburg

Your qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Fluency in English on (near-)native level; very good German skills
  • Several years of professional experience and a proven track record in the marketing field; experience in the educational or science sector would be of advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in an international and intercultural environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, Typo3) and willingness to deeply acquaint yourself with the MIPLC IT systems
  • Proven ability to work in a team
