Information about the division and the project
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is strongly international, with approximately 270 employees from over 30 countries. The department is a fully integrated department with the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology as principals.
Software Engineering research at the department is conducted in a number of areas, covering almost all subfields. We conduct research in requirements engineering, software design and development, software architectures and modelling, software measurement and management, software organization and software business, and have extensive collaborations wit the industry. We collaborate with industry and teach our students how to become software engineering professionals for both small and large software enterprises.
We are now expanding our teaching team with a position as a fulltime teacher in Software Engineering, and is placed in the Division of Interaction Design & Software Engineering, with Chalmers as the employer.
Job description
The position is to teach in some of the more applied and development-centric courses of Software Engineering, such as Software Evolution Project, Mini-project Distributed system development, Data Management, Agile Software Project Management, and Software Development Methodologies. Responsibilities include lecturing, supervising students, grading assignments and exams, and running exercises. In addition, supervision of students in bachelor thesis projects, master thesis projects, and individual project courses is part of the work specification.
Contract terms
The position is for one year, with the possibility of one year’s prolongation.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you should, when starting the position, hold a completed master degree in a field relevant to the topics that defines the position, or significant professional experience in a related occupation. You should have documented experience in the topics that define the position, and show good skills in spoken and written English. Having a PhD in a field relevant to the course topics that defines the position is meriting.
