Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Theoretical and experimental development and implementation of strategies to efficiently generate surface acoustic waves through the excitation of mechanical oscillations in single gold nanoparticles
  • Scientific cooperation in different projects being developed in our group
  • Collaborative work with international partners
  • Publication of the results in specialized scientific journals, participation in conferences as well as the presentation of seminars in our group meetings
  • Eventually help with teaching duties, not more than two weekly hours.

Your qualifications:

  • Finished Ph.D. degree in Physics, in the areas of Optics of Condensed Matter Systems and/or Ultrafast Spectroscopy
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the Pump-and-Probe Technique
  • Proven ability in independently performing advanced scientific work and paper writing
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Team player and enthusiasm to work in a multi-disciplinary and collaborative environment.
