Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Content creation
- Prepare social media contributions based on published scientific articles of the team
- Prepare social media contributions based on conference presentations of the team
- Prepare social media contributions based on teaching events (summer schools, etc.)
- Build a network for the chair in social media
- Re-post interesting contributions from our partners in social media
- Interact with our networks in social media
- Communicate with the press and coordinate interviews, etc.
- Work with our graphic designer to compile communication material (flyers, blogs, posters, graphics, etc.)
- Keep our website up-to-date (you will have support from our webmaster in this area)
- Promote our job advertisements in social media
Your qualifications:
- Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Geography, Environmental Sciences, or similar
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with social media
- Capacity to understand technical and scientific language and summarize the content in short and easy-to-understand contributions
- A high level of competence in written English
- A high level of competence in written German
- Knowledge in graphic design and tools is a plus
- The ability to work independently and on your own initiative
- Goal-oriented thinking
- Creativity
- Reliability and a high level of motivation
- Capacity for teamwork
- Organisational talent
