Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Content creation
• Prepare social media contributions based on published scientific articles of the team
• Prepare social media contributions based on conference presentations of the team
• Prepare social media contributions based on teaching events (summer schools, etc.)
• Build a network for the chair in social media
• Re-post interesting contributions from our partners in social media
• Interact with our networks in social media
• Communicate with the press and coordinate interviews, etc.
• Work with our graphic designer to compile communication material (flyers, blogs, posters, graphics, etc.)
• Keep our website up-to-date (you will have support from our webmaster in this area)
• Promote our job advertisements in social media

Your qualifications:

• Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Geography, Environmental Sciences, or similar
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with social media
• Capacity to understand technical and scientific language and summarize the content in short and easy-to-understand contributions
• A high level of competence in written English
• A high level of competence in written German
• Knowledge in graphic design and tools is a plus
• The ability to work independently and on your own initiative
• Goal-oriented thinking
• Creativity
• Reliability and a high level of motivation
• Capacity for teamwork
• Organisational talent
