Your tasks and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will enjoy a wealth of opportunities in providing clinical service in a brand new state-of-the-art academic teaching hospital, and in pursuing clinical research in a highly collaborative environment within the faculty if they wish. The Equine Clinic is part of the Centre for Clinical Veterinary Medicine with a variety of nationally and internationally board-certified specialists (for instance ECEIM/ACVIM, ECAR, ECVDI, ECVS, ECVD, ECVAA).

Primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will include clinical service, teaching and research in the Equine Clinic. Teaching responsibilities involve didactic teaching and clinical training of professional students, interns, residents, and graduate students. Service responsibilities involve clinical case management including participation in a 24/7 emergency service. Contribution to the continuing education program of the teaching hospital is expected as well as strong commitment to perform at high standards of evidence-based medicine. External grant acquisition and supervision of graduate students are encouraged and supported.

Your qualifications:

Candidates must have a veterinary degree. Diplomate status in the European or American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia is preferred, but residency-trained individuals eligible for final certification examination will also be considered. Knowledge in German language is not necessarily required
