Your tasks and responsibilities:
- A research project on the interactions of Listeria monocytogenes with the food matrix. You will perform exciting research on the molecular background for the fitness of L. monocytogenes in different food matrices. By what mechanisms does L. monocytogenes respond to stress in its environment? Are there ways to intervene in these processes?
- Methodologically, both classical culture methods and molecular methods such as transposon libraries, the creation of mutants and sequence-based analyses will be used
- Assisting in teaching within the framework of practical student courses.
Your qualifications:
- You hold a degree in veterinary medicine
- You have a passion for food safety and interest in molecular biology
- You enjoy working in laboratories
- You enjoy working in an international and highly motivated team
- You are interested in teaching and interacting with students.
